From the recording More Than Worth It
The second song released. Written by Cody Miller and Gavin Kerr. Recorded with Jeff Koval. This song is written for the audience themselves and anyone who has ever been told they were "not good enough" to pursue their passions. A heavy chip was placed on Gavin's shoulder after the lead singer of the last band he was in fired him for being "Too young and inexperienced to go to the next level with them" just before playing the Inkarceration Festival. (They're still at that same level for those wondering)
Taking inspiration from those emotions, Gavin decided to write a song for the audience to sing and scream with him on stage stating that he and they are "More Than Worth It". Hoping to inspire those listening to not give up on what they believe they can achieve and to continue pushing forward each and every day.
Lyrics
Shut up
I got your message I get it
You think I'm pathetic and I'm going nowhere
Well nobody ever taught me how to give in when Life's Not Fair
All the ways you tore me down, put me to the ground, made me feel worthless
Well I hate to burst your ego but as far as royalty goes you can't tell me what my worth it
Tell me that I'm too young, too dumb, too much
But I'm still not good enough
Tell me I should give up, cause I'm
Too unexperienced and never gonna blow up
Tell me that you knew that I was just another pawn on your way to your castle
But it's sad to see that every part of me never thought you'd be like every other asshole
I want you to stand up
I want you to shout out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
I want you to get loud
They Can't Drown Us All Out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
When you feel like younwanna scream but you can't breath cause the world around you's suffocating
I don't wanna die but I can't deny constant failures devastating
And I know that the voices inside aren't real they're imaginary but the stress that test my heart it starts to tear apart blowing out my capillaries
I'm just so sick of it
People pleasing, sacrificed happiness
Cause people take advantage
They take and take and take and don't give a shit
Now I'm not giving in
I finally found my voice it's time for you to hear it
For those who stand with me
All together now
Break the silence
I want you to stand up
I want you to shout out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
I want you to get loud
They Can't Drown Us All Out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
I want you to stand up
I want you to shout out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
I want you to get loud
They Can't Drown Us All Out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
I swear to fucking God
If one more middle aged prick tries to tell me how to live my life, I'll burn this whole fucking world down
How is someone with no career and broken dreams gonna tell me that I'm not good enough?
When my stories over, you won't even be a fucking page in my notebook book.
Fuck you!
(LIVE VARIATION:
This song is dedicated to the freaks and outcasts
The fags and queers
Who were told that they aren't good enough by everyone from the strangers they'd never know to the people who were supposed to love them the most
I stand infront of you today because I see you, I hear you, I am you
And today we rise up against those who put us down and we say FUCK YOU!)
I want you to stand up
I want you to shout out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
I want you to get loud
They Can't Drown Us All Out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
I'm just so sick of it
And I Don't Give A shit
Now I'm Not giving in
I'm more than worth it
I'm just so sick of it
And I Don't Give A shit
Now I'm Not giving in
I'm more than worth it
I want you to stand up
I want you to shout out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
I want you to get loud
They Can't Drown Us All Out
Scream it back at me
I'm more than worth it
I want you to stand up
(I'm just so sick of it)
I want you to shout out
(And I don't give a shit)
Scream it back at me
(Now I'm not giving in)
I'm more than worth it
I want you to get loud
(I'm just so sick of it)
They Can't Drown Us All Out
(And I don't give a shit)
Scream it back at me
(Now I'm not giving in)
I'm more than worth it
I'm more than worth it
He's more than worth it
She's more than worth it
We're more than worth it
